Our combination of end-to-end technical expertise, decades of industry experience, and unlimited fresh thinking makes us a trusted partner for the delivery of next-generation connectivity in energy and communications across the UK, Europe and beyond.
Our Power team delivers high-value electrical infrastructure projects for some of the most demanding clients in the sector – from hyperscale data centre operators to major industrial and grid clients. We are building a team of exceptional project management professionals who can drive complex programmes from award through to energisation, and we want people who take real ownership of their projects
SCOPE OF ROLE
Reporting to the Head of Power, the Delivery Interface Project Manager is accountable for the end-to-end project management of high-value HV electrical infrastructure projects (typically £5m+), from post-award handover through design, procurement, construction, commissioning and final handover. This is a hands-on project management role at the centre of delivery – coordinating across design engineers, DNOs/IDNOs, commercial teams, supply chain and site – ensuring every workstream is aligned, risks are controlled, and projects are delivered on time, on budget and to the highest standards of safety and quality.
The role requires a technically credible project manager with a strong background in HV electrical infrastructure (11kV–132kV), sharp commercial awareness across NEC/JCT frameworks, and the confidence to lead and develop a team of Project Managers in a fast-paced delivery environment.
Project Management & Delivery
• Take full ownership of project delivery from post-award handover through to final completion and client sign-off.
• Lead the structured handover process from Estimating to Delivery, ensuring all commercial, technical and programme information is captured and understood.
• Develop, maintain and drive project programmes, ensuring all workstreams – design, procurement, construction and commissioning – are sequenced and resourced effectively.
• Chair regular project reviews, tracking progress against programme, budget and contractual commitments, and escalating risks and issues proactively.
• Manage project budgets and forecasts, controlling cost and protecting margin throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate the full electrical design lifecycle from initiation through to DNO/IDNO and client approval, ensuring design risks are identified early and mitigated.
• Oversee the transition from approved design to procurement and construction readiness, maintaining momentum at every stage.
Stakeholder & Interface Management
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, DNOs/IDNOs, design consultants, OEMs and subcontractors throughout project delivery.
• Build and maintain trusted client relationships, managing expectations, resolving escalations and driving positive satisfaction outcomes.
• Work collaboratively with Commercial, Procurement and Engineering teams to ensure alignment across all project interfaces.
• Represent JSM at client meetings, progress reviews and technical workshops.
Commercial & Procurement
• Apply strong commercial awareness across NEC/JCT contract frameworks, managing change, risk and contract compliance throughout delivery.
• Identify long-lead items (e.g. switchgear, transformers, protection equipment) and drive early engagement with manufacturers to protect programme.
• Lead technical discussions with OEMs and suppliers to support procurement strategy and enable timely placement of orders.
• Work with the Commercial team to manage cost risk, supplier performance and financial reporting.
People Leadership
• Lead, manage and develop a team of Electrical Project Managers, setting clear objectives and driving performance.
• Provide technical oversight, mentoring and structured development to build team capability.
• Support recruitment and onboarding of additional PM resource as the business scales.
Safety, Quality & Compliance
• Ensure all projects are planned and delivered in full compliance with current legislation, DNO specifications, client standards, and JSM SHEQ policies and procedures.
• Embed a strong safety culture across all projects and teams, leading by example at every stage of delivery.
