THE TEAM

At JSM Group, our Power Division plays a critical role in delivering complex Infrastructure projects.
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Contract Manager to support our Medium-sized Infrastructure Projects (installation of high-voltage cable systems and substations) across Germany. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction contract management, with proven knowledge of German construction law, procurement practices, and regulatory compliance.

SCOPE OF ROLE

Reporting to the Managing Director of JSM GmbH, you will be responsible for managing contract negotiations, compliance, administration, and risk mitigation to ensure successful project delivery from a commercial and legal perspective.

This is a hybrid role that requires a presence in our German office to manage teams, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement

HOW YOU`LL SUCCEED

✔ Manage the full contract lifecycle for infrastructure and construction projects, including drafting, negotiation, execution, compliance, and close-out.

✔ Draft and review construction and supplier contracts, subcontracts, NDAs, and service agreements in both German and English.

✔ Lead and manage contract negotiations with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and third parties, ensuring fair and balanced commercial terms.

✔ Identify and manage contractual risks and opportunities, including claims management, dispute resolution, and contract amendments.

✔ Stay current with updates to German construction law and regulations, advising internal stakeholders on potential impacts to project delivery or contracts.

✔ Support project close-out processes, including final account agreements and contractual finalisation.

WHAT IT TAKES

Qualifications:

📜 Bachelor’s degree in Law, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related field.
📜 Strong English and German language skills, both written and spoken (minimum B2 Level)
📜 Proficient in AI software (like Co-Pilot)
📜 Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
📜 Competent in incident investigation, reporting, and data analysis
