SCOPE OF ROLE
Lead the development and delivery of SHEQ data insights, analytics, and reporting, utilising dashboards and visualisation tools to support performance monitoring and informed decision-making
Provide oversight of SHEQ systems and workflows, including the ticketing system, using data to identify trends, risks, and areas requiring intervention, rather than coordinating or administering activity
Act as a key interface between SHEQ, operational teams, and office locations, using data and site insight to support consistent standards and performance across core sites (Potters Bar, River Road & Creek Road)
General Duties – Look Out for Ourselves
· Develop, maintain, and optimise SHEQ dashboards (e.g. Power BI) to provide real-time performance visibility
· Analyse SHEQ data trends (incidents, audits, compliance, ESG metrics) and present actionable insights
· Use data modelling and AI tools to identify patterns, risks, and improvement opportunities
· Produce monthly and ad-hoc performance reports for senior leadership
· Translate complex data into clear, decision-focused outputs
· Identify emerging risks through data modelling and pattern recognition
· Translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights for leadership teams
· Provide forward-looking analysis (not just retrospective reporting)
· Act as visible SHEQ champion, setting an example with SHEQ related behaviours and demonstration of JSM’s values.
· Perform routine tasks with a basic understanding of processes. Follows instructions and handles straightforward duties with limited supervision.
General Duties – Look Out for Others
· Use data, insight, and evidence to influence operational decision-making, helping stakeholders understand risks, trends, and opportunities to improve SHEQ performance and business outcomes
· Act as a trusted partner to operational and leadership teams, challenging assumptions and shaping behaviours through insight rather than process enforcement or compliance ownership
· Deliver targeted, insight-led communication across the business, ensuring key SHEQ themes, risks, and performance trends are clearly understood and acted upon
· Translate data and analysis into meaningful outputs (e.g. dashboards, reports, and briefings) that enable informed decision-making at all levels
· Provide a central point of contact for SHEQ insight and data queries, supporting teams to interpret and utilise information effectively
· Produce and communicate performance-driven outputs such as trend analysis, data insights, and risk-focused updates to support proactive management of SHEQ performance
· Design, build, and work closely with IT to configure interactive SHEQ dashboards (Power BI or equivalent), enabling real-time visibility of performance across the business
· Automate and streamline reporting processes to improve data accuracy, reduce manual effort, and support timely decision-making
· Continuously enhance data visualisation and reporting outputs to support frontline operational teams and leadership insight
· Enable stakeholders to access and interpret data through self-service reporting tools, improving transparency and accountability
· Oversee external SHEQ systems and accreditations (e.g. RoSPA, Achilles, Constructionline, BSi), ensuring certifications, memberships, and user access are maintained effectively
· Monitor and analyse activity within the SHEQ ticketing system (including RAMS reviews, PQQs, audits, NCRs, and complaints), identifying trends, risks, and overdue actions, and providing clear reporting to the SHEQ Leadership Team
