Fibre Supervisor
THE TEAM
JSM Group is a leading utilities infrastructure provider delivering complex digital infrastructure and civils projects across the UK. As part of our continued growth, we’re on the lookout for a Fibre Supervisor.
SCOPE OF ROLE
As a Fibre Supervisor, you’ll report to a Project or Delivery Manager and take responsibility for overseeing fibre installation activities across multiple sites.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to the required quality standards. This is a hands-on, site-based role where you’ll lead teams, coordinate subcontractors, and act as the key point of contact on-site.
This role can be undertaken on either a day or night shift, depending on project requirements.
HOW YOU’LL SUCCEED
· Supervise and coordinate daily fibre installation and network build activities
· Lead site teams and subcontractors to deliver works in line with programme requirements
· Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards at all times
· Carry out site inspections, audits, and quality checks
· Review and manage permits, RAMS, and site documentation
· Act as the main point of contact on-site for clients and stakeholders
· Identify and escalate risks, delays, and delivery issues
· Support the wider project team to ensure successful project outcomes
· Maintain accurate records, including as-built information
WHAT IT TAKES
· Experience in a supervisory role within fibre, digital infrastructure, or utilities infrastructure
· Strong understanding of fibre installation, PIA, cabling, and network build activities
· Knowledge of digital infrastructure frameworks is beneficial
· Good understanding of health and safety regulations within a site environment
· Ability to read and interpret drawings and work instructions
· Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
· Full, valid UK driving licence and access to a car is essential for this role due to regular travel requirements between sites
· NRSWA Supervisor accreditation (desirable)
· SSSTS or SMSTS certification
· Valid CSCS card
· First Aid qualification (desirable)
