SCOPE OF ROLE

As a Quantity Surveyor, you’ll report to a Commercial Manager and support delivery in our Digital Infrastructure division.

You’ll be involved across both pre- and post-contract activities — from assisting with pricing and procurement through to valuations, variations, and cost reporting. This is a hands-on role with real responsibility and strong support to help you develop into a more senior position.

HOW YOU’LL SUCCEED

• Support the management of subcontractor accounts, including applications, payments, and variations

• Assist with tendering and pricing activities, including commercial reviews

• Prepare and support applications for payment and valuations

• Help manage variations and change control across projects

• Contribute to cost reporting and CVRs

• Maintain accurate commercial records and documentation

• Identify and flag commercial risks and support mitigation strategies

• Work closely with delivery teams to ensure alignment between commercial and operational objectives

WHAT IT TAKES

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within utilities

• Working knowledge of NEC contracts (JCT exposure beneficial)

• Good commercial awareness and eagerness to develop

• Strong organisational and communication skills

• Ability to build relationships with internal teams and subcontractors

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (experience with tools like Envision is a plus)

A full, valid UK driving licence and access to a car is essential for this role due to regular travel requirements between sites.
