Join JSM’s Power division, a fast-growing, high-performing team delivering complex HV infrastructure projects across the UK.

We operate in a live delivery environment, working on high-value (£5m+) projects with DNOs, IDNOs, and major clients, including data centres and industrial users.

This is a team that needs experienced people who can step in, take ownership, and deliver not theory, not potential.

SCOPE OF ROLE

As an Electrical Project Manager, you’ll take ownership of the design-to-delivery interface on HV infrastructure projects (11kV–132kV+).

You’ll coordinate the design process, manage stakeholder interfaces, support early procurement decisions, and ensure projects are set up properly before and during delivery.

This is not a pure design role; it’s about managing the process, the risk, and the programme.

You’ll report into the Delivery Interface Manager and play a key role in stabilising and driving live projects forward.

HOW YOU’LL SUCCEED

🔌 Design & Interface Coordination

• Manage the design process from initiation through to full approval

• Coordinate between:

  • Internal delivery teams

  • Design consultants

  • DNOs / IDNOs

  • Client-side engineers

• Ensure designs progress through approval stages efficiently

• Track RFIs, approvals, and technical submissions

• Identify risks early and drive resolution

🤝 Stakeholder Management

• Act as key interface with DNOs, IDNOs and client technical teams

• Build strong working relationships across all stakeholders

• Support client meetings and technical discussions

• Ensure clear communication across design and delivery teams

🛡 Safety & Compliance

• Ensure all works align with relevant standards, specifications and legislation

• Promote JSM’s safety-first culture across all projects

• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

WHAT IT TAKES

✅ Essential Experience

• Proven experience delivering HV electrical infrastructure projects (11kV–132kV+)

• Strong understanding of DNO/IDNO design approval processes

• Experience coordinating design, procurement and delivery

• Background in utilities, power, or infrastructure projects

• Experience working on live projects (not purely design environments)

🧠 Key Skills

• Strong coordination and organisational skills

• Commercial awareness (programme, cost, procurement risk)

• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders

• Excellent communication across technical and non-technical teams

• Problem-solving mindset — able to unblock issues quickly

🎓 Desirable

• Electrical Engineering background (degree, HNC, or equivalent)

• Experience with ICPs, DNOs or Tier 1 contractors

• Exposure to data centre or large industrial connections

• Experience supporting projects from concept through to commissioning
