THE TEAM
Our Operations and Planning Teams are at the heart of everything we do—ensuring that projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and in compliance with legislation. As a Utilities Drawing Administrator, you’ll be an essential part of this process, helping us meet industry standards while supporting cross-functional collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.
SCOPE OF ROLE
This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to support the business in aligning with NRSWA 1991 regulations and HSG47 Guidance. You’ll play a crucial role in upholding JSM’s professional standards by providing essential administrative support to the Operational and Planning Teams.
Your primary responsibility will be the accurate generation, management, and distribution of utility drawings (Stats). You will also contribute to the smooth running of wider business communications through coordination and document control activities.
HOW YOU’LL SUCCEED
- Assist Management and Coordinators with administrative tasks related to the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991
- Collect, prepare, and distribute utility drawings in both digital and printed formats
- Ensure the timely preparation, printing, binding, and sharing of utility drawing packs
- File all project-related documentation accurately and efficiently
- Request and download utility information via provider portals or email
- Maintain regular communication with Utility Providers to ensure portal access and data availability
- Work closely with Supervisors, Project Managers, and Site Agents to verify content accuracy
- Support monthly performance updates and reporting against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Keep drawing packs updated in line with evolving project needs
- Provide administrative support to the wider team to ensure smooth project delivery
WHAT IT TAKES
Excellent organisational skills with strong time management
Ability to work methodically and handle pressure while meeting strict deadlines
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and confident use of web-based tools
Willingness to learn and use role-specific software (training provided)
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality standards
Effective communicator, able to work closely with colleagues across all levels of the business
